Bonjour!
It’s my favorite time of year again! As summer slides into fall, leaves change color, and Halloween approaches, I start to anticipate all the fun planning, decorating (with a toddler in mind), baking, and gift wrapping I get to do in the coming months.
Not only is Halloween the official kickoff of the holiday saison, it’s a great excuse to eat lots of candy corn and avoid the news. Today’s post shares my recipe for vampire doughnuts just in time for Halloween!

This recipe is fun, easy, and no-bake – perfect for kids and the kid in you. I don’t know if a sixteen-month-old will appreciate the artful decorations, but I know he’ll definitely eat the donut (le wink).

🎃 Ingredients
- 1 dozen apple cider donuts (or donut of your choice)
- 12 plastic vampire teeth
- 24 candy eyeballs
- 1 tube white decorating icing
- 1 jar red jelly (strawberry, raspberry, et cetera)

🧛♀️ Recipe
- Line large cookie sheet or half sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Place donuts on paper and insert plastic vampire teeth into center holes.
- Dab jelly below fangs to give the appearance of freshly sucked blood or poor table manners.
- Dollop small drop of white decorating icing above vampire teeth and place candy eyes on icing.
- Store finished donuts in individual plastic baggies or large airtight container (being mindful of the jelly blood’s tendency to stick and smear).

🕷️ Presentation
For this batch, I stored the vampire donuts in individual plastic baggies housed in a large, disposable aluminum foil pan. The plan all along was to donate the donuts to a fall bake sale, though I definitely taste-tested one. Délicieux!
What special treats will you make and share for Halloween?
